Biography

Attorney Janice Feldman is a tax litigator and tax advisor who understands the IRS and DOJ having worked at each for a combined total of 31 years prior to joining Kundra & Associates. Like the attorneys at Kundra & Associates, she is a passionate advocate for our clients and works aggressively to solve current tax problems and prevent future controversies. She was lead counsel in approximately 2,000 tax cases during her tenure as a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, Tax Division from 1989 to 2003. From 2003 to 2019, Ms. Feldman was an attorney with IRS Office of Chief Counsel (IRS Counsel). She worked in a variety of positions in IRS Counsel but starting in May 2014 was the Division Counsel/Associate Chief Counsel for the National Taxpayer Advocate component of the Internal Revenue Service. She retired from the government in 2019, and from September 2020 to July 2022 was a remote volunteer attorney for the Harvard University School of Law, Federal Tax Clinic.

Ms. Feldman is admitted to the practice in District of Columbia Maryland, Connecticut (retired) and US Tax Court. She received her Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law in 1988 and her Bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University in 1985.
